Cats and Creativity at Southbound Art Market: PEEP POP

I joined Southbound Art Market’s “The 4th Stop-Over: PEEP POP” on September 5–6, 2026, at Ayala Malls Legazpi, bringing my cat-themed art to my hometown.

My booth featured original artworks, stickers, prints, posters, and keychains—all about cats! Through playful characters and everyday humor, these pieces reflect my love for cats and the stories they inspire.

As part of the event’s program, I also conducted an art workshop for kids, giving young participants an opportunity to draw, explore their creativity, and create their own artwork.

The program included dance performances, a dance contest, and dance tutorials that encouraged interested audience members to join in. A trivia contest also invited mall-goers to answer questions from the organizers and receive gifts from the event’s sponsors. These activities brought artists, shoppers, and participants together for a lively weekend of art and entertainment.

Thank you to the organizers, sponsors, and everyone who visited my booth, purchased my work, or joined the workshop. Your support helps keep independent art—and my growing world of cats—going!

Mga Ikos at the Legazpi Art Pop Market

August 8–9, 2026 | Legazpi City

My son Mike and I joined the Legazpi Art Pop Market – LEGACY OF IBALONG, a two-day gathering of visual artists, singers, dancers, stage performers, cosplayers, and makers showcasing their talents, original art, handmade crafts, and locally inspired creations.

Our little cat-filled shop was called “Mga IKOS ninda Mike asin Senyor Fidelectus” or “The Cats of Mike and Sir Fidelectus.”

And yes, there were cats. Lots of cats. 🐈

We brought our original digital art prints together with cat-themed stickers, pins, keychains, plush toys, and other feline knick-knacks.

Mike also offered on-the-spot doodle art, creating pet drawings, characters, and cartoon portraits for visitors. One of the best parts was seeing customers happily posing with their finished portraits.

The market featured works from local artists and makers, including paintings and illustrations, handmade jewelry, shirts, mugs, face painting, crafts, and even pieces made from Mayon Volcano rocks and pebbles.

For us, the best part was simply spending two days making and selling art together, meeting fellow artists, and sharing our work with people who stopped by.

Dios mabalos to everyone who visited Mga IKOS!

My artwork is also available online through www.fidelectus.com and my DeviantArt page, where selected digital artworks are available for purchase.
